A machine changes a force or moves energy from one form to another. This quiz asks for that job in plain language: a lever, a pulley, a spark in a gasoline engine, or heat leaving a refrigerator.

The engine question says gasoline, because a diesel engine ignites fuel by compression and does not use a spark plug. The refrigerator question says the heat is moved, not destroyed.
